This initiative is open both to the people of Senegal and to anyone living abroad who wishes to contribute to the success of this historic event.\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme aims to recruit more than 6,000 volunteers \u2014 a concrete means of mobilising Senegal\u2019s energy and talent, both within and beyond its borders, to ensure that the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games become a collective success and a source of national pride.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative, named Jambaar26 \u2014 meaning \u201cwarrior\u201d in Wolof, the most widely spoken language in Senegal \u2014 highlights the commitment and bravery embodied by volunteers, who are among the essential pillars of any Olympic event.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether you are a student, a working professional, a retiree, undergoing a career transition, or simply driven by the desire to participate, your contribution is welcome. By joining Jambaar26, you will offer your time, skills, enthusiasm, and dedication in service of the entire nation.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Volunteer missions: a variety of roles for all talents<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected volunteers will be able to contribute across a wide range of areas, including:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Site management and the Olympic Village<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ticketing, reception, and visitor orientation<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transport and logistics<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accreditation, protocol, and ceremonies<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Athlete services, media support, and communications<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assistance with airport arrivals and departures<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jambaar26 offers a unique opportunity to participate directly in a global event, acquire new skills, represent Senegal to international athletes and visitors, and embody the values of unity, sharing, and hospitality that are so central to the country.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Registration: how to take part<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Registrations will be open exclusively online at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jambaar26.apps.dakar2026.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/jambaar26.apps.dakar2026.org\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1767961421902000&amp;usg=AOvVaw25X50yG9RANzpY1S_Dk4Gi\">https:\/\/jambaar26.apps.<wbr \/>dakar2026.org\/<\/a>\u00a0from <strong>December 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and possess a working command<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of both French and English. Selected volunteers will be required to attend training sessions organised by the Committee and to be available for a minimum of ten days during the Games.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>A national tour reaching every corner of the country<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To encourage all to join the adventure, the COJOJ will launch a <\/span><b>National Volunteering Tour<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from <\/span><b>1<\/b><b>\u1d49\u02b3<\/b><b> to 7 December 2025<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
