What is Jambaar26?▼

Jambaar26 is the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games volunteer program. It is open to anyone of legal age who wishes to be part of this event and enjoy a historic, unique, and human experience at the heart of a major global sporting event.

Why join Jambaar26?▼

The volunteers selected and mobilized for this event have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the success of the Games. Thanks to their commitment, they will help ensure that activities run smoothly and create lasting memories for participants and spectators alike.

Do I have to pay a registration fee to apply?▼

The registration process for the Jambaar26 program is completely free. You will not be charged any fees.

Will I be paid for volunteering?▼

No, no financial compensation is provided for this program. You will be volunteering for Dakar 2026, as stipulated in the volunteer charter. However, as a volunteer during the Games, your meals, uniform, and transportation in the host cities will be fully covered by the organizing committee.

Applying from Senegal or abroad

I do not live in the host territories. Can I still apply to volunteer?▼

The Jambaar26 program is open to everyone, even if you do not reside in Senegal. However, if you reside abroad, please note that transportation costs to Dakar and accommodation expenses will be entirely at your own expense.

I am an international applicant. Can you help me obtain a Senegalese visa?▼

The participation of international candidates is strongly encouraged. However, we cannot guarantee that you will obtain a tourist visa. We recommend that you begin the visa application process as soon as possible " "with the relevant authorities.

Is there a maximum age beyond which I cannot apply?▼

There is no age limit for applying to the Jambaar26 program. We strongly encourage intergenerational dialogue.

I am a person with a disability. Can I apply?▼

Jambaar26 is open to anyone who wishes to participate. When applying, there will be an option for you to provide us with more information about yourself. You will therefore need to share your specific requirements with us. Please feel free to explain your situation to us in detail so that we can take the necessary steps to meet your needs.

I have submitted my application. What is the next step in the process?▼

Our team will carefully review all applications. If we decide to proceed with your application, you will be invited to a preliminary interview.

How long will it take to find out if I have been selected?▼

Between June and September 2025, you may receive an email informing you that your application has been accepted. Congratulations, this is your moment!

How long do I have to accept/decline the position?▼

Once you receive our confirmation email regarding your application, it means that you have been accepted. You will have 15 days to confirm or decline the offer. After this period, if we have not received a response from you, we will consider that this offer has been declined.

Will I receive a certificate of participation?▼

Yes, at the end of your volunteer activity with Dakar 2026, you will receive a certificate of participation.

I would like to withdraw my application. What should I do?▼

You may withdraw your application from the Jambaar26 program at any time. Simply log in to your personal account and click on the withdraw my application option.
